PSL 2017 Drafting Live Streaming

PSL 2017 Drafting Live Streaming will be available on PTV sports. You can watch the live streaming of the PSL 2017 drafting in our website also. UAE this time will host the PSL 2017 drafting on 19th October 2016. PSL stands for “Pakistan Super League”. It is a professional T20 competition of men’s cricket held by Pakistan Cricket Board. PSL introduced in September 2015 by Pakistan cricket board. Its headquarter situated in Lahore, Pakistan.

It has five active franchises, which represent Five major cities of Pakistan by their name. Each franchise own a team of Pakistan Super League.

According to the official list of teams, there are four provincial teams and One federal team in PSL tournament.

PSL 2017 Drafting Live Streaming

In PSL total five teams participate every year. Following are the names of the teams.

  • Karachi (Karachi Kings)
  • Lahore (Lahore Qalandars)
  • Peshawar (Peshawar Zalmi)
  • Islamabad (Islamabad United)
  • Quetta (Quetta Gladiators)

The PSl first tournament was played in 2016, and its first match held on 4 Feb 2016 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

The Final match of first Pakistan Super League tournament was also played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on 23 Feb 2016.

The First Tournament winner in 2016 was the Islamabad United team.

The second tournament of Pakistan Super League will start soon.

The second PSL player drafting and categories are now completed recently.

As per Pakistan Cricket Board recent announcements, the PSL tournament will be started from February 2017 while the Draft will be announced in UAE in October 2016.

The exact date of PSL 2017 Drafting is 19th Oct 2017.

According to the last year’s PSL Draft, the players were divided into the following five categories,

  • Platinum
  • Diamond
  • Gold
  • Silver
  • Emerging

In the current drafting, same five categories used as like last year.

But some changes in requirements made like salaries, terms, and condition.

PSL 2017 Drafting Changes

As per PSL official “Najam Sethi” chairman of the Pakistan Super League confirmed that all the preparation related to the PSL 2nd edition tournament is completed successfully.

The drafting process conducts in Dubai this time.

This time final of PSL Tournament 2017 will be held in Pakistan in Lahore. According to PSL 2017 Drafting, it will be held at Qaddafi Stadium.

Some edition in domestic and foreigner players also made this time, as like, in drafting process Morgan (England skipper) and Brendon McCullum (captain of New Zealand team) involve this time.

Anton Devcich (New Zealand left-handed batsman), Wayne Dillon (from South Africa), Moeen Ali and James Anderson (from UK) and Steve Finn (from UK) and some other will also play in PSL 2017 competition.

Changes in regular salaries of PSL players also made this time. According to PSL announcement, this time, all franchisees agree to increase overall salary cap to USD 1.2 million, almost 9% above than last year.

As per official PSl announcement, in 2017 competition Lahore Qalandars teams have the right of making the first 20 picks as for the reason that they finished last in the inaugural edition.

There’s also an expectation of a separate partition of Australian left-handed fast bowler Mitchell Johnson in PSL 2017 competition.
